just got back from school today..
am feeling very tired.....
orientation week isn't going that great.
i think i'll start from yesterday....
yesterday, we saw the 6 uniform groups marching during assembly...
after that, our PSLs took us back to class where we had to see our form teacher.
mr yeo. he's also our chinese teacher.
he is very tall.
and he never ever smiles.
so he gave us a very warm welcome.
after that we went to play team building games.
and we had to collect stars.
during the first game we had to form letters with our bodies.
sounds simple right?
here's the catch.
we can't talk.
so unfortunately we lost.
to zhou yu's class.
the next game was something like an obstacle course.
everybody had to get through.
we're quite fast so we beat 1E.
there's also a game where everybody had to stand on one mat and we had to flip it over without touching the ground with our feet.
so we sort of bended the rules and we let our knees touch the ground.
when we had completed the 2 mats,
the other class hadn't even completed 1.
after some more games, we had recess.
the food in rv is quite expensive.
but most secondary schools are like that.
at least Rv has japanese food and pizza.
after recess, we went for this thing called tour de Rv
that. was the worst part of my day.
we had to go to different venues accomplish tasks and collect jigsaw pieces.
then form a picture of a place and name it.
the first place we went to was the field.
we had to play this stupid game called pick up the ice cream sticks.
we had to hold hands and pick up a certain number of sticks.
the game master said to alternate between girls and boys.
at first we held hands with one girl and one boy but then they said we had
to hold hands with all of the opposite sex.
then lots of people made a big fuss over it.
for the guy on my right, i think his name is han jie, i offered my hand coz he looked pretty helpless)
alot of others were pretty stubborn though.
so the people who ended up following instructions held hands for a long time.
and in the end, we wasted 40 minutes on that stupid station.
under the hot afternoon sun.
and we ended up 8/12 for the race.
actually that's not too bad...
isnt't it?
in the afternoon we had the cca trials.
there was badminton,softball(girls only),table tennis,netball(girls only),volleyball,basketball(boys only) track and field
i got into netball, volleyball and softball.
on friday there will be the performing arts trials.
i don't want to join any of the performing arts.
but must go for the audition. (it's compulsory :( )
i think rv's netball is the most well known cca.
alot of people want to get in.
so i think i might join netball.
after that i went home with cheryl, feeling very tired...
today we mainly learnt the mass dances.
and we had some breakfast auction thing.
tomorrow there's camp.
so we'll be sleeping in school.
